Before choosing a prop firm

Is a prop firm the same as a broker?

No. Here you compare evaluation and trading programs. Buying an evaluation is different from depositing funds with a broker, and a program balance is not money you can withdraw.

What should I check in the loss rules?

Check daily and total loss limits, whether they are fixed or trailing, how open positions affect the calculation and the time zone used to reset the day.

Does passing guarantee a payment?

Passing is one stage. Rewards depend on the contract, eligible countries, identity checks, strategy restrictions and the payout rules of the selected program.

Can I trade news or use an Expert Advisor?

Rules vary by firm, program and account stage. Check restrictions on news, overnight positions, copy trading and automated strategies before purchasing.
